The Happiest of Holidays from The Cookies

How do you have a scheduled PVP event that turns into an all out search to complete a specific outfit which then becomes a WotLK raid which then brings the ENTIRE population of Azeroth some badly needed holiday cheer? Well… this is the kind of stuff you can look forward to here with The Cookies.

On the eve of Christmas Eve we had plans to do our 10v10 Rated BG’s… but we were derailed by a Pet Giveaway. I mean technically I guess you could say it was my fault since I was the one giving the pet away… but I still blame Deep… the winner of the said Pet Giveaway. But anyway… I digress… We were supposed to be doing PVP that night but Deep won Winter’s Little Helper which then set us on this journey of starting a tradition that will now happen every year and will live on in Guild Lore FOREVER! First let me explain a few things… Winter’s Little Helper is a cute little gnome dressed as one of Santa’s elves… Deep was so excited when he won because he had a matching outfit… yes… a matching outfit.

Well that matching outfit, became contagious… almost everyone caught the Holiday spirit if you will… and decided to also buy/find/craft the pieces to this outfit. Completing these outfits became more of a priority instead of our planned PVP to the chagrin of some guildies but they also eventually succumbed to the lure of the contagion of the holiday… right Longdeath? Well as it usually goes, matching outfits became matching mounts, and matching mounts became an attempt at coordinated choreography. So anyhoo… back to the story of the evening… there we all were dressed in our holidays finest when what to our wondering eyes may appear… well Gid dressed as Santa in his Night Fae Seed Carrier with all of his reindeer!  We paraded around the center of Oribos for a bit… 

…then decided to bring our cheer to Stormwind and Goldshire!  As I said earlier all of this was contagious because we actually had others joining us on this parade from all walks of life and we spread the Cookie love to everyone we came upon!  It was glorious! 

So yeah… that’s what happened on the eve of the biggest eve of the year.
